Dodge: 94 ram not charging no head lights no tach., running lights, electrical problems

Question
Hello I hope you can help shed some light on this problem.
i have bought a 94 ram deisel 50k miles automatic 2 wheel dr.
I am getting no tach when motor is running and not charging as well. Finally there are no headlights. I have tail and running lights but those dont help in the dark.
I purchased the truck this way so i have no history. Well the truck has been parked for 5 years. there is some rust and rotting on the front frame and no where else. All seems well every where else and the truck starts runs and drives like new. I have had the alternator checked and it is good so I am lost.
Any help you can give would be great.

Thanks

Answer
Carlos,
Have you checked the headlights to see if they are not blown?I know both being blown would be unusual but i'd check them. Also i would have the battery checked this may be the problem. If the alternator was checked and no problems found you can have a bad battery enough to make it run but can still cause electrical problems.Have you noticed the engine light coming on?When you turn the key on it should come on and go off.If it has been on it would have stored a code in the computer to be read with a scanner.
