Ford: electrical problem (headlights), ford f 150, fog lights

I have a 2001 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 Triton V8, auto trans..Headlights come on with light switch in "off" position..Truck can set for minutes or hours and headlights will come on... using "delayed off" position does same thing..
Do I have a switch problem or problem in electrical module somewhere???

does the vehicle have day time running lights? NO

ok  remove the head light switch  unplug the  conector and see if the switch is burnt or the conector is melted if so replace it .make sure you don't have any fog lights or anything else wired into the park or head lights with out a relay. give me your e mail add. and i'll send you a wiring diagram
