Ford: Electrical drain, electrical drain, quess

Question
I know electrical problems can be difficult to diagnose without using proper equipment. The problem may be simple. When the vehicle is shut off, the brake lights stay on. (1) Is this a simple switch malfunction? (2) Is this a circuit board malfunction? or (3)Is it impossible to say without hooking the vehicle up to diagnostics?

Thanks,  Dan

Answer
There is a switch located inside the vehicle under the brake pedal that could be sticking. Check this area out, if its not their it could be on the lever inside the engine compartment, that runs down next to the sterring colume. My quess that it could be stuck or a replacement is in order..
