Ford: Ford 95 Taurus Transmission, pressure test, maintenance records

Do you see a lot of repairs on the '95 Taurus SE?  We are looking to purchase the car from the original owner.  The mileage is 55,800.  Thanks for any insight you can offer.

I would ask for written maintenance records. Records should
reveal oil change every 3500 miles, trans filter change
every 20000 miles, tuneupu every 30000miles, and etc.
Before I bought the car, I would have a mechanic complete
a compression test, oil pressure test, fuel pressure test,
and check all fluids. Also have the mechanic test drive
at all speeds. Inspect under and over the car in every
way.
