GM-GMC: 04 sierra heated seats, programming issue, memory functions

previously reported heated seat issue. Spent more time on the issue today and discovered the issue is isolated to the drivers seat. Normal operation for the passenger side SO LONG as the drivers side is not switched on. Attempts to turn on the drivers side result in passenger side shut-off. Passenger side heats up and stays illuminated UNTIL drivers seat is turned on for heat. All other seat ops remain operational including seat memory functions.

There are two possibilities in my mind.  One being the element in the seat is shorted out (very common)  Strange things happen when they do.  Or, you have a drivers door module communication or programming issue.  I suspect the second is the case more so than the first.  Generally, one side doesn't affect the other when the elements short out.
