GM-GMC: Firebird parts interchangeability, rear axle assembly, driveline angles

I have a 1999 Firebird with 3.8 automatic trans in which the rear end is bad.  Will a 1993 Firebird rear axle assembly interchange with the 1999?

I am unsure what exaclty you are asking?  Are you wanting to exchange the entire axle or just the gears.  If it is the same gear ratio, and all the mounting points are the same, the driveline angles are all the same, it should fit.  But to be perfectly honest I couldn't tell you for certain, perhaps phone a local junk yard and ask them to cross reference it for you.
