GM-GMC: 1993 gmc 1500 pu trk, time delay switch, thrust bearing

Question
i have a 5.7 engine that has a intermitent engine knock on cold start it sounds like the rod whants to come out of the block after it builds up oil preasure it sounds normal i pulled the oil pan down last year and inspected the rod bearings all but #2 rod bearing looked good for an engine with 90,000 miles on it i took a micrometer to the crank ans it looked good so i stuck a new rod bearing in it and stuck a gm  oil filter back on it but still the same knock do you think the main thrust bearing could be my problem the previous owner used to tow a boat with the truck also could you tell me the cyl head tourqe for a 1994 5.7 roller motor thanks ,mike
