GM-GMC: 6.2L Horsepower in 1989 Vandura 2500, aspirated engine, eighth position

Can you tell me what horsepower this van should have, S/N 2GTEG25C5K4XXXXXX.  I am told it has a J Series which delivers 235HP.  It is naturally aspirated engine.

Hardly.  The 235 number is for torque in lbs-ft.

Eighth position of VIN shows the engine to be a "C" code version which has EGR (if someone has not removed it) and less than 8,600 pounds GVW.

A naturally-aspirated 6.2 produces about 135 HP on a good day.
