GM-GMC: Repairing Fuel Lines, gmc 1500, fuel pumps

Question
I own a 92' GMC 1500 and am having problems with a leaking fuel line.  I recently replaced the tank and pump, but now have a leak near the tank.  I desperatly need to get my truck on the road again, but can't really afford to repalce the lines. Is it OK to cut the line and use an approved hose, as I would like to replace all 3 lines.  And if so, what size hose would I need?  Thanks!

Answer
Fuel injected vehicles use higher pressure fuel pumps and require special fuel line.  The fuel line is often several dollars per foot and may require special clamps.

Technically, the answer is yes, the fuel line can be replaced if the special hose (and clamps) are used.

As to the size, I do not have any information for vehicles newer than mine.
