Honda: Idle control valve, honda prelude type, honda prelude

Question
Hi, I have a 94 Honda Prelude Type S. I recently got the idle control valve replace because every time I would start my car up it would idle from 1 1/2RPM %26 2 1/2RPM.(I hope those are the correct terms) It would continue doing this ever and over until I put the car in drive. Well, it was replaced yesterday and was running great all day. When I put it in park it didn't idle up and down like it use to. I thought great the car runs wonderful. Well, today I start the car, and it starts idling up and down over and over again until I put it in drive. Can you tell me what you think the problem is, and is it possible for the idle control valve to burn out in one day? Or is something else wrong?

Answer
Remove the cap on the fast idle valve. It is towards the driver's side in relation to the IAC valve. The cap has 2 Phillips' head machine screws. Inside there is a plastic threaded collar/seat. Turn it in clockwise a few turns and then check the idle. If this does not change anything make sure the air bleed screw at the throttle body has not backed out most of the way. Check those and let my know what you find.
