Honda: 1996 Honda alarm, original equipment manufacturer, inline fuse

Question
My FOB quit working for my 1996 Honda Accord LS (2.0 Litre) Coupe...I'm not
sure if the alarm system is factory or aftermarket, but it has an immobilizer
as well.  Since I lost the FOB, I couldn't get the siren to stop when the door is
opened, and the hazard lights flash.  I can still use the other piece I have for
the immobilizer, and that's no problem.  Is there a way to completely disable
the alarm without the FOB?  I'm not really worried about having the alarm
system.  Thanks!

Answer
Well James,

If it is an OEM (original Equipment manufacturer), there usually is a fuse for it, located either in the engine compartment or the interior fuse panel. Removing it will permanently disable it.

In the event that it is an aftermarket, there is usually a positive lead wire connected directly to the positive battery terminal (follow that red wire until you see an inline fuse, remove that fuse OR disconnect red wire from battery for alarm, that should disable it as well.

Cheerio!
