Hyundai: Interested in buying a Hyundai, mile powertrain warranty, bumper to bumper warranty

Question
My husband and I are interested in buying a Hyundai as a family car.  What made you buy a Hyundai and are you happy with it?  Have you had any repairs to it, where they expensive being an import?  We`re scared we are going to buy a car that is great for about 3 years and then is going to be expensive to fix.  Does this worry you?

Answer
What made me buy my Hyundai was the quality.  People's jaws drop when they hear me say that, but it's true.  I test drove the Pontiac Sunfire which was poorly constructed... insyulation hanging from the door panels, misaligned interior trim peices, etc.
The Honda Civic was WAYYY out of my budget at the time.  And the styling on every other compact just didn't appeal to me.

I've had my Tiburon for about 2.5 years and the most "major" problem I had was a slight oil leak into the #4 spark plug hole(didn't affect the engine).  A problem that was easily remedied by the dealer within an hour and covered under warranty.  Parts are actually much cheaper than for an American or Japanese import.  For example, my old car was a 1991 Pontiac Grand Am the coil packs cost me about $130 I replaced the coil packs on my Tiburon and the cost was only $60.

If you buy a new Hyundai you'll have a 5 year 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and a 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty (engine, transmission, etc.)

My car has 32,000 hard driven miles (supercharger added) and runs like a top.  I have no fears of my car ever failing me, this engine is just too well made for that.
