Mazda: no spark, oil filler cap, camshafts

QUESTION: I'm looking at a 92 miata & it has no spark the owner said the car just stopped
running ,it turn over but it gets no spark

ANSWER: Are you getting fire on any one of the four.  Be sure to check them all.  1&4 are paired and 2&3 are paired.

Sorry been out of town.

NO spark on any cylinder.  Check the timing belt by looking in the oil filler cap at the camshafts while someone else cranks the engine.  No rotation=no signal=no spark.  If you see the cams rotate the the belt is good and we have to look elsewhere.  Let me know.
