Mazda: 2005 mazda miata, mazda miata, memory saver

Hello could you please tell me if this year auto has a anti theft code on the radio, cd player, the radio is from factory, will unhooking battery require a re coding.

Most do have security code features, Mazda used multiple brands and designs so no sure which you may have.  They must be activated by the original owner.  If it's never been activated then no fear.  To avoid the issue in event of a battery swap a 9 volt battery computer memory saver device that plugs into the cigarette lighter/power port is available from most large auto parts outlets (autobarn.net has them).  The key must remain in the on position with a Miata for the device to work.
