Mercedes: door panel skin has separated from metal, barrett jackson auction, salvage yard

door panel skin has separated from the metal where one usually rests their arm next to the window.  I have a 99 SL 500.  This has occurred on both side panel but more so on the passenger side.  The car was purchased at Barrett-Jackson auction last year.  The vehicle has never left Florida.  What are the best and most economical options short of replacing the door panel which would be cost prohibitive.

If the skin is bonded to the panel using heat molding then there is probably no option unless you have a crack or are interested in using a hypodermic needle to inject some contact glue into the separated area and re-stick the leather.
You could also check ebay or some salvage yard to try and locate a used unit.
