What is the best method of repairing the siding trim on a trailer.  My current camper has the trim slightly pulled from the siding (at the bottom of the camper) It has the newer/flat type of siding.

I do not think there is water damage, but need to get it repaired before there is.

The trim is slightly pulled downward (maybe .25"), the siding needs to be tucked behind and the trim needs to be drawn tight to the bottom side of the trailer?

Is silcone sealing the method, or is there a technique to draw the trim tight and attach before the silicon is applied.

thanks

The best way is to loosen and remove the trim and loosen the siding to the point where you can slip it into place and re-seal it. To save time most people use flexible silicone to seal it if there is no damage to repair. I would remove the inside paneling in that area to be sure there is no damage and make sure your frame is ok if it is wood.

The safest way to answer this question is remove the inside paneling and insulation to check how the trim is mounted on your perticular unit. The methods change for different models and I have been unable to pull one up like yours. It may be mounted with rivets or screws on the inside frame. Some are only spread over a mounting bracket.

Answer
As I mentioned before the trim may be mounted in several different ways. Screws, rivets or slide mounts. Remove the paneling inside at one corner to see how your perticular one is attached. I have seen some that will be mounted from the outside, You can lift the edge on the trim outside as much as you can and check for mounting that way also.
