Oldsmobile/Buick: Blinkers that dont blink, gm dealer, turn indicators

Hi, I drive an '01 Olds Intrigue.  Recently, the turn indicators have begun behaving badly, blinking a couple of times then stopping, or not blinking at all.  The turn indicators illuminate on the front, back and side of the car, but not on the dash...and did I mention there's no blinking? Oy, it's annoying.  

Is there a simple fix for this, or should I make an appointment at the dealership?

Technically speaking this out of my area of expertise since your car is a newer vehicle (01) .

I would schedule an appointment with a GM dealer to diagnose the problem . To me it doesn't sound complicated nor a "huge" problem . Better safe then sorry right ?
