Saab: o2 sensor code, fuel pump, tune up

Question
I have a Saab 1997 900 2.3L non turbo. The check engine light comes on. Recently replaced fuel pump and just replace upstream 02 sensor. engine light came back on after 40 miles of driving. Runs fine but will not pass NYS inspection. On retest same code came back indicating bank1
o2 sensor. Keep in mind just replaced. Had complete tune up last year, plugs, cap, wires. Also saw lean/rich fuel code show up but no specifics from code could pointed out. Any thoughts ?

Answer
Tim:  As noted in my profile, my hands-on expertise is limited to the older (pre-19920 MODEL 900'S. but I CAN REFER YOU TO THE very best source of info, AN ONLINE SUBSCRIPTION ($25/YEAR) CALLED <ALLDATADIY.COM>. They have the complete mechanics manuals online, and frankly, I've not seen a better source of info.

Hope this helps,
