Toyota: air conditioner on Toyota, obdii scanner, headlight bulbs

Question
I have a 2003 Camry 4 door.

Anyway, the green AC light on the dash is blinking. I'm not
getting any cold air. Does this mean a freon problem? I don't
want to be told I've got $1,500 of work needed like last time. My
car has only 60,000 miles.

Thanks,
Rick

Answer
You should try visiting any mechanic that has an OBDII scanner or even Autozone (they check for free, I THINK).  The on-board computer should give the code to what's causing it to blink (blinking lights typically are the computer visually telling you that an error has occured and this is why normal operation may not happen).   Can you hear the compressor making noise?  What work did you have done for 1500?

Anyways, get thee to a OBDII scanner and see if your ECU is giving any error codes and go from there.  But, if nothing else, get a trusted mechanic to look at it and give you an estimate of repairs.  Check your local Autozone (assuming there's one in your area) and try to get the free ODBII scan.  You should be able to isolate the problem with those two.  Good luck and I HOPE it's nothing at all but if it has to be something, maybe something funny like changing your headlight bulbs:) LOL

SORRY for the late reply, the answer page was acting up all day yesterday.
