Toyota: Toyota A340F transmission overdrive, gear ratios, planetary gear

Hello Mr. Forne,

Engine runs too low RPM on Highway use (2300 RPM).  Not running near best power point (2700 RPM).  To unlock from overdrive and engine will running at 3300 RPM - faster than best power point and very noisy.

Question is if A340F transmission has available other 4th gear ratio (overdrive) than .705:1.  Maybe requires new main shaft and planetary gear set from different model A340F transmission (Lexus?  Celica?  Corolla?  4Runner?  Tacoma?  T100?  Highlander?).  Specifically, I want .85:1.

Details on which parts to acquire, please.

Sorry I can't help you much, but as far as I know a friend of mine bought new gear ratios from Quaife directy, and I'll do so with my new lotus, too.
