Volkswagen: Replacement of A/C controls panel, screw driver, david sanchez

I am trying to replace the A/C controls panel inside the car. I have removed the panels to the left and the right of the radio and A/C controls. I have removed the four screws that hold the A/C switches panel in place but I cannot manage to remove the unit. Is there any trick to replacing this part. I would greatly appreciate your help.

Hi David,

You need to depress the inside retainer clips.  This is most easily done by carefully using the flat head of a screw driver and pressing back the tabs.

They simply snap in when you are complete.
