Volvo: Volvo 240 brakes bleeding, rear caliper, brake valve

Question
Hi, I´ve got a -87 240 GL and I recently repaired the brakes. When I bleed the rear right the pedal feels stiff (using a hose with a ball-spring-valve), bleeding the other wheels the pedal feels loose. Also the brakes dosent work on the right rear, I´ve replaced the brake disc holder, and it works (tried with compressed air). How can I bleed the master cylinder easiest? Or can it be someting else? Thanks

Answer
Tim,
You can loosen and bleed the Master right at the lines coming out of it. If you are not getting fluid to the right rear caliper you may have a collapsed line or a bad brake valve. Follow the line forward to check it. Remove it from the brake valve to see if fluid is coming out of the valve. The brake valve might need replacing. New valve $90.00.
