4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Ford Explorer A/C fan, mouse nest, ac works

Question
My son borrowed my Explorer, turned on the AC and fan and noticed confetti-type material coming from the vent.  He surmised a mouse nest, and vacuumed it out.  The AC works but the fan does not.  Putting the fan control on max you can here a click. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Answer
that sounds like a breaker tripping, theses are self resetting so no fear. it sounds to me like something has the fan locked down not letting it turn. Pull it out from under the hood and don't be surprised if you find a dead rodent in there but clean it out and inspect the fan and hook it up to the wire and see if it works then. if so replace it in the firewall and you have fixed the problem.
