4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: 1996 Jeep Cherokee A/C Problems, jeep cherokee, fan works

Question
Just had freon added, air conditioner and fan works, but  meter levels show overheating status after driving approx. 20 min.  This happens in traffic or highway driving, but when A/C is shut off, the temp. control goes back to normal.

This sounds like something with the thermistat but i could be wrong. Have you tryed flushing your radiator and filling it back up? I am at the same point you are, Im not sure whats going on. But try doign that and see if it helps any. If not I would have a mechanic look at it.
