4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Interior water leak, jeep cherokee sport, jeep cherokee

Question
I own a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4, with a 4.0L.  My problem is that there is an interior water leak on the front passenger side, where one would rest their feet.  As far as I know this is somethiing new to me. Any ideas what it could be?

This can be caused by a leak in the windshield seal.  Another possibility, is a heater core that is starting to leak.  I have seen similar problems with Wranglers when the drain under the vent intake on the hood plugs up.  When this happens, the water runs down the vent intake into the heater duct, and ends up on the passenger floor.  You may have to go to a reputable body shop to have them trace out the problem.  They, usually use compressed air, and a sensor to detect where the leak actually is.
