Suzuki: 1987 suzuki samuri, throttle cable, rough terrain

Question
i was driving down the road n when i pushed the clutch in i noticed the idle was all the way up  cant adjust it  does the carb need rebuild at 80,000 miles or could it be something eles was just going to buy the webber double barrel  carb  if thats the problem ?

Answer
Make certain it's not the throttle cable fraying and sticking inside the housing.
Another issue could be the water heated choke mechanism and it's linkage - sometimes it just gets dirty and sticky, and sometimes the secondary linkage gets sticky.
Any of those can cause the idle to be high.
The weber is mostly ok, but has some driveability issues in really steep and really rough terrain.  I put one on, and found it was terrible for me above 10k feet, and in really bumpy rocky stuff.  I rebuilt the stock carb, even though it cost more.  Kind of a personal choice thing.......
