Suzuki: Service Engine Light on 96 Suzuki Sidekick, suzuki sidekick, torque converter

Question
Took my Sidekick to dealer for Service Engine Light.  They reported it was code P0740 and they replaced the R & R Torque Converter Solenoid.  They told me it was unusual to have to replace this especially since the Sidekick only has 42K miles on it.  2 days later the light came back on.  Took back to the dealer, this time they said it is code P0400 and it is an EGR ports being clogged.  Drove less than 20 miles from the dealer and the light came on again.  Any ideas so that I can go back once and for all and get it fixed and not waste another day waiting for them to "hopefully" fix?

Answer
While it may be somewhat frustrating for you, it is absolutely mandatory to point out that those two problems were completely separate and unrelated to each other.  If you went to the doctor for a broken finger, and then later that afternoon sprained your ankle, are they related?  Only in that they both occurred on the same body the same day.  If the codes for the devices they fixed don't happen again, then they did their job properly.  Find out what the code is first.  If it's the same code, then they need to determine whether they just replaced a part, when the  same code set for a different reason.
