Tips on Buying Cars: car donations for filming, independent filmmaker, hazzle

Hello Ray,
I am an independent filmmaker in Los Angeles looking for driving cars to wreck for a short film I'll be shooting in June. I am looking for car donations or very cheap cars (around $200, salvaged included). Can you recommend where I can find people willing to donate cars for film credits, or looking to get rid of cars and selling them for very cheap? Will they have running cars in junkyards?

I don't think you will find donations listed anywhere for your specific needs.

Here is what I would do...
Enter a few car lots and speak with used car manager, tell him your needs and what your willing to pay, they have many trades come through which are worthless and in some cases have to pay to have them removed.

These trade-ins worth from a dollar to $ 200. are plentiful at dealerships every week, the key getting them is how good you are presenting yourself as dealership cant be bothered going through the hazzle making a bill of sale and transfer title with no profit or very little, when they can simply fill a wholesale bill of sale that takes little work and no hazzle..
So how good are you public relations...

 and on the left you should see some google ads about auctions, click on a few for further info but whatever you do don't get suckered into paying for information.hope this helps
