Tips on Buying Cars: best bang for buck performance car, ford mustang gt, chevy corvette

I was just wondering what the best bang for buck performance car would be. For initial price and after market parts cost. American or otherwise?? Turbo4 or turbo6? V8? What make, model and year? Used of course... can't afford new! Thanx

Joseph:My answer(because I work for a GM dealership)is the Ford Mustang GT.Or maybe the Chevy Corvette.Why?Maintance costs.Available parts and service is another reason.In addition the availability on different years.Sure,the imports have their part too,but again maintance costs.I have simple question to you:How many 20 year performance cars do you see on the road?And what cars do you see?Mustang or Corvette?Good luck!
