Tires: tire help for minivan, snow tires, buffalo ny

hi, i'm glad you're there, expert barry s! i'm in a quandry about the winter driving that i've been facing with my minivan.
i have new tires but they're all-season. they get stuck all the time here in our buffalo, ny snowfalls. i think i made a mistake not buying snow tires instead, but since i can't trust anymore tire salesmen, i'm glad to find you!! my minivan is frontwheel drive, not 4wheel. will 4 new studded snows make a good difference? won't spend again till i'm sure. thanks...m

You should have asked your friends and people you work with about snow tires.  I am sure they would have told you to get them.

But you also need to be aware that snow conditions requires a change in driving technique.  I would suggest you find an empty parking lot and during the first snow fall, practice.
