Tires: effect of a bent rim, diyer, tire dealer

Question
If I put air in the tire as a temporary fix will it reseal? Also what is involved in replacing the rim once I find one? Will I be able to do it? Thanks again>jvex7

Question -
Does a tire on a bent rim have a tendency to go flat and come off the rim? Thanks!

Answer -
Don,

The seal between the tire and the rim depends on the tire conforming to the rim.  If the rim is bent, it could cause a leakage problem.  If the tire leaks down enough, it could come off the rim.

Answer
Don,

It is possible to have the tire reinflated temporarily, but the tire might be too damaged to be used.  This is probably something someone at a tire shop should look at - and do.

It would probably be best to go get the whole thing taken care of by a tire dealer ASAP.  This is pretty much beyond the DIYer.
