Trucking: DOT regs, bob stephens, mc number

Question
Do DOT regs pertain to a car hauling business?  If so, what regs are applicable?  Interested in hauling 2-4 vehicles with a dually and trailer on the east coast.

Hi Victoria.

Anytime you do commercial hauling, you have to follow DOT regulations.  Yes, you'll have to get a DOT/MC number, fuel stickers, cargo insurance, etc.  Call your state's Department of Transportation and they can help you get legal.  Sites like www.dotauthority.com can help too.
