RV Repair: Slide out adjustment on travel trailer, bridgeport new york, hydraulic ram

Question
I have a travel trailer manufactured by Flagstaff, model 827FLS. The slide out is on the driver side (opposite of road side). The front edge (closest to tow vehicle) sticks out about 1/8 yto 3/16 of an inch further than the rear edge when retracted. I have not been able to get any information on what may be causeing ths, how to adjust it nor trouble shoot it. There are dealers that sell Forest River products here but no one that is proficient in repair of my model.

The camper is a Flagstaff 827FLS, 1999, and I had the slide out checked for leaks by the dealer in South Caroilina but they could not fix the leak (1999) and stated that Forest River had no solution. Dealer: Carolina RV, Johns Island, South Carolina. I purchaced it new and it has about 2400 miles on it.

I now live in Bridgeport, New York.

Answer
Francis,
The only Forest River product I am familiar with is the Wildcat line.  If your Flagstaff uses a hydraulic slide this should be a simple adjustment.  On the end of the hydraulic ram it should be threaded for about 6-10 inches.  There should be nuts on this part that determine where the room stops going both in and out.  If the room needs to come in more adjust the outer nut towards the trailer.  If it has an electric slide it gets a little more complicated.  If this doesn't fix your problem please let me know and let me know who manufactured your slideout mechanism.
