Trucking: D.O.T., bench seat, bob stephens

Question
I AM MOVING FROM BOSTON TO FLORIDA I HAVE RENTED A 24 FOOT TRUCK WHICH IS MORE THEN I NEED BUT I NEED A BENCH SEAT.
I AM ALSO TOWING A CAR. DO I NEED TO STOP AT THE WEIGHT STATIONS ,I AM THINKING OF TRAVELING ON ROUTE 95.....ALL THE WAY DOWN

Answer
Hi Barry.

No, you don't have to stop at any weigh stations since your not a commercial vehicle.  One word of advice, take corners (also on and off ramps included) extra slow.  In my years on the road, that's where I see most accidents with rental trucks.  Those truck, especially when towing cars, don't handle as well as you will think.  If your furniture shifts, that's adds to the problem.

Otherwise, have a safe trip and welcome to Florida!
