Truck Repair: fuel injector replacement with jake brake, torque values, jake brake

Question
when I pull the jake brake to replace injector do values and injector need to be set or will they stay and can just install back on after injector replacement? injectors I purchased are preset.

Answer
You need to readjust both the injector and the C brake or jake whenever you remove injector. The practice among mechanics to retighten back using only the torque values may not give a good result and may lead to injector damage.
preset injectors i.e. zero lash still require adjustment as recommended by manufactiurer.
