Truck Repair: 5.9cummings fuel injection, shade tree mechanic, pop gear

I am a shade tree mechanic with a Job to do on a 91 dodge with a 5.9 in it. It is leaking fuel around the injector pump. The owner has brought one me to change out, used. Where can I find details on timing and general instructions?

They are not hard to change out.Take oil fill off frt drivers side of engine.Take fuel pump drive gear nut loose.Turn engine over SLOWLY with a ratchet while pushing the timing pin in(between fuel pump & vacuum pump) until it pops in.Take the lockplate out & tighten the bolt in to hold pump in time.Remove all fuel lines & pop gear off pump.Remove the 3 mounting nuts & brace bolt.Wiggle pump loose & take it out.If they did not time the "used" pump then you will have to get it close by alaining the key in pump to mark on frt of pump housing.It takes time & special tool to time the pump to the engine.
