Truck Repair: 1999 ford powerstroke diesel, ford powerstroke diesel, ford f250

Question
Ford F250 turbo diesel with 192,000 miles, engine shut off while driving yesterday.  Noticed oil was low so added oil and jumped off to start. Now the engine will start and run for appx 3 minutes then shuts off (as if the key were turned off). Changed the fuel filter, just in case, but didn't help.  Do you have any idea why this is happening, automatic shut off for some reason or maybe a computer problem?

This is most likley going to be a sensor problym.  My guess is, a cam position sensor, but to be sure you should have the truck hooked to a diag. machine.  I wish I could help further, but with this diesel, guessing on sensors can be quite expencive.  Let me know if I can help further.
