Truck Repair: Ford F150 2wd PCV valve blows out, pcv valve, ford f150

Question
Hi Van,
I have a Ford F150 2Wd pick-up.
I'm having trouble with the 2 PCV's that are plugged into the valve cover on top.
Oh its a 300-6 cyl engine
I removed the air filter which has to be taken apart in order to replace the filter and it was satuated with oil.
The engine ran rough and wanted to stall at red lites or stop signs but after I adjusted the distributor it ran better.
Now its blowing the PCV valve out of the valve cover on top when you put torque on the engine. I switched the 2, front to back but it still blows 1 out.
Have any ideas?
Thanks LeRoy

Answer
Hello LeRoy,
Only one of them should have a PCV valve. The other, the one that connects to the air filter, should be just an open fitting.
The PCV valve should connect to a hose to the intake manifold, or a fitting under the carb.
Make sure the hose isn't plugged, or doesn't suck shut.
