Truck Repair: fuel filter, chevy pickup, fuel hose

have a 98 chevy pickup changing fuel filter couldn't get the line disconnected it was rusted bad question is could line be cut and hose put in i was told it can't be done because its fuel injection and its high pressure

Hi Mike,
It is fuel injected, and depending on the type of injection, the pressure could be 14PSI, or 45PSI.
The 14PSI is just about what a mechanical fuel pump puts out, which can use a clamped on fuel hose.
The 45 is likely to leak.
Have you tried using some penetrating fluid, and maybe tapping on the nut with a small hammer?
