Vintage Cars: 300D turbo wont start, vacuum leak, o relly

Question
QUESTION: the car has 0ver 300,000 miles. was running great, but after a cold weather last week, it will crank but won't start. Have check the relay box, all wire to the plugs has power. took the plugs to o'relly and they light up when powered. re-install the plugs and still won't start.
diesel is going through the injectors. Did not check the compression.
Am planning to replace the plugs as they are 2-3 years old.
What could be the problem?

ANSWER: compression would be my first guess, or a vacuum leak/issue or injector issue

you sure you are getting fuel to injectors?

This was sudden ? you did not have several days of hard starts?

IF it was sudden I would look to fuel delivery
If is was gradual - compression or IP
let me know

Fuel was sqoutting out of the fifth injector end. never a day of hard starting even in Bellingham, with cold weather!
glow plugs ohm ?
compression 125? all plugs out or one at a time.

Answer
what year is the car , older glow plug systems, - if one is out they rest in the line beyond it  go out. they could also be weak.  Is the relay allowing for them to stay on 20 -25 seconds?  Is the light in the car glowing bright?
My main concern on the vacuum was to make sure you were not having an issue at the pull off of the injector pump and somehow it is stuck closed, but if you are getting fuel it is probably not the issue
You are sure you are getting air ( air cleaner not the issue)
Are you sure the pressure is correct

Normal pressure for  OM617.95  is  300psi

are you burning oil??
BTW cold low compression egines will start better than warm.  SO the cold climate may be a help!
