Vintage Cars: 1987 560SEC Sunroof problems, pig tails, rubber seal

Question
QUESTION: My sunroof was opening and got stuck in the track by the rubber seal. The fuse blew.  I replaced it...however the sunroof is now not working. Do I replace the switch $35? relay $75? or do I need a motor $65 from a junkyard? Any recommendations on which I should try first? And if I need to take out the motor, how do I take it out it's in a real tough spot? Can you explain how or send a diagram? The good thing is that I was able to get the headliner out and was able to disconnect the cable from the sunroof.

ANSWER: doubt it would be the switch, could be relay , but you really need to remove motor and test.  Just get 12 V to it using pig tails
Most of the time the cable goes bad from the sunroof shackle to the motor.  Look at it and see if it is bound up and not straight. If not then slide the sunroof forward and backward by hand if it moves freely  I would replace the motor if the cable is not bad .if the cable is bad make sure you get a new clip and inspect shackle for any wear.
this may help , a buddy of mine posted this awhile back, yours should be similar

QUESTION: The motor in the 560SEC is designed differently.  I am having trouble trying to remove it.  It's a little harder to get at then the diagram you sent me of your friends car.  If you have a diagram of the 560SEC that would help.  The sunroof when connected to the cable doesn't move freely. My mechanic told me that if I bring it in that he would test it for me for free. However, if I have him remove it he charges $75. an hour.  I would like to tackle it myself if I can.  Let me know if you may come up with a 560SEC diagram or photos in how to disassemble the motor.  Thanks
