Vintage Cars: 62-63 chev impala and belair, tilt wheel, carpet on the floor

Question
Hi wanting to know the difference between a 63-64 chev belair and impalas 4 doors before i purchase one, as the look the same front rear and sides??

Answer
The BelAir was the "basic" 4-door (the Biscayne was the basic 2-door), with very little chrome trim, plain cloth seats and rubber covering the floor.  The Impala was the top-of-the-line, with more chrome trim, full wheel covers, upgraded vinyl seats, and carpet on the floor.  There were a lot more options available on the Impala, so they tend to be much better equipped than the BelAir.  Although rare in the mid-60's, you're much more likely to find items like tinted glass, AM/FM radio, tilt wheel and power windows on an Impala than on a BelAir.  All in all, the Impala is worth more money, too.
