The Toyota Corolla is manufactured by the Japanese automaker, Toyota Motor Corporation. The 1989 Corolla is a compact car, available as both sedan and station wagon models. Having just been redesigned for the previous model year, the 1989 models did not undergo much change. The '89 Corolla is available in many trims and body styles.

Model and Production

  • While not much changed for the 1989 model year, Toyota introduced an All-Trac sedan, which lasted only one year. The Corolla was no longer available as a hatchback. The sixth generation Toyota Corolla is more conservatively styled and less boxy than previous models. Conveniences such as air conditioning, dual mirrors, power steering and a stereo are optional.

  • All 1989 Toyota Corolla models are 65.2 inches wide. The SR5 and GT-S coupes are 172.2 inches long, while the four-door sedans and wagons are 170.3 inches long. The DLX and LE models are 52.4 inches high. The DLX All-Trac is 53 inches high, while the SR5 and GT-S coupes are slightly shorter at 49.6 inches in height. All models also have a 95.7-inch wheelbase.
