How to Replace a GPS DVD Disk for the Toyota Tundra

If you own a Toyota Tundra truck with a built in GPS unit, there may come a time where you need to replace the DVD disc that came with the truck to either reset or update the software. A GPS, or global positioning system, uses satellites to determine your position and pre-loaded maps to help you navigate. The GPS system is optional equipment on the Tundra truck.

  • Use a web browser and navigate to the following web address to initiate the process of replacing the GPS DVD disc: http://www.toyota-mapupdates.eu/

  • Select the "Get A Map" option from the web page that appears on screen. Choose "Tundra" from the next page and select which model of the truck you own from the available options.

  • Choose the type of GPS unit that was installed in the truck when you purchased it and the part number for the unit. If you are unsure, the exact name and model number is listed in the Owner's Manual.

  • Type your contact information into the corresponding boxes on the next page. You will be prompted for your name, address, and a phone number for a Toyota representative to reach you at if there are any problems. Toyota will send you a replacement DVD disc for the GPS unit within 2-4 weeks of initiating the request.

  • Navigate to the "Toyota Navigation Maps Updates" website using a web browser. Click the "Get A Map" option on the home screen.
