How to Reset a Circuit Breaker in a Polaris

Polaris was founded in 1954 and released their first product the following year, a snowmobile designed for traveling over deep snow during the cold winter months. Since then they have expanded their product line to include ATVs, Rangers, motorcycles and electric vehicles. All of these vehicles have electrical systems that are protected by breakers. A breaker's job is to turn off the power when it senses an overcurrent situation that may damage the electrical components. Resetting these breakers is simple once you locate them.

  • Locate the electrical breakers for your Polaris equipment. Typical locations include the engine bay, under the driver's seat and inside the glove box. Consult your owner's manual for the exact location for your machine.

  • Identify which one of the breakers has opened by looking for the the switch in the upward position.

  • Reset the breaker by pushing the white button until is clicks into the power on position.

  • Start the Polaris and check that all of its electrical systems are operating.
