Rotom is an electric/ghost-type Pokemon found in "Pokemon Platinum" and "Pokemon Black" and "Pokemon White." Rotom is different from most other Pokemon in that it can change into five other forms. Each form resembles a household appliance: a lawnmower, a fan, a refrigerator, a washing machine and an oven. Each form allows Rotom to use a special attack and changes the Rotom's ghost-type. Changing the form of your Rotom depends on which version of the game you have.
Download the "Secret Key" from Nintendo by selecting the "Wi-Fi Gift" option from the main menu and choosing "Receive Gift." Nintendo released the "Secret Key" via Wi-Fi between January 16 and March in 2009. If you do not have the "Secret Key" or it is past the release date, you will have to wait until Nintendo decides to release the "Secret Key" again
Travel to the Eterna Hideout and make your way to the back of the room. Use your "Secret Key" in the space between the bookshelf and the wall in order to open up the secret room.
Enter the room. The room contains five electrical appliances. Make sure you have Rotom in your party and select any of the appliances. Answer "Yes" when prompted to allow Rotom to transform into his new form. Repeat the process with a different appliance, if you wish to change forms.
Place Rotom into your party and travel to Route 9.
Go into the Department Store and enter the room on the far right.
Select any of the boxes in the room. Each box has one of the five different electrical appliances. Choose the appliance you wish for Rotom and press "Yes" when prompted. Reselect the box, to change back.
