If the headlight on your Ford BA Falcon is burned out or broken, you can replace it yourself. No special tools and no extraneous parts are needed. The headlight bulb, an H7 halogen, resides inside the headlight assembly. Replacement headlight bulbs can be bought at a local dealership or through an online vendor. Expect the installation of the new bulb to take 10 minutes for each headlight assembly.
Turn off your Ford BA. Prop open the hood.
Press in on the side tabs of the headlight wiring harness on the back of the headlight assembly. Pull the wiring harness off the assembly.
Pull the rubber shroud off the base of the headlight bulb.
Put on latex gloves.
Press inward on the metal retaining clip that secures the headlight bulb in place until the metal clip disengages. Pull the bulb out of the headlight assembly.
Insert the replacement headlight bulb and secure it in place by re-engaging the metal retaining clip. Place the rubber shroud over the base of the headlight bulb. Plug the wiring harness into the base of the bulb.
