The Pontiac Grand Prix GT comes equipped with daytime running lights as standard equipment. They are enabled at the factory due to the perceived safety of operating the vehicle with the headlights on all of the time. However, the previous owner of the car may have disabled the daytime running lights and if this is the case, you need to know how to enable them.
Open the door and locate the access panel behind the door on the end of the dash.
Pry the access panel off the end of the dash with a flat-tip screwdriver. Behind the panel you will see a small box mounted on the firewall and a plug that will be disconnected.
Connect the electrical connector to the small box. Your daytime running lights are now enabled.
