Pull on the hood release in the interior of your Montero and open the hood.
Use a crescent wrench to loosen the clamp on the black (negative) wire that is connected to the battery.
Pull off this wire and place it in a way so that the metal end is not in contact with anything else.
Wait 5 minutes.
Reconnect the black (negative) wire to the battery and tighten it with the crescent wrench.
Close the hood and turn on the Montero.
