Does Corolla 2003 Have Discs or Drums?

The 2003 Toyota Corolla was offered in CE, LE and S trim levels. The list of standard equipment was rather thin for any of the trim levels, but there was a fair amount of optional upgrades. As far as safety goes, the only standard equipment on all three trim levels were federally mandated, dual front airbags. Purchasers of any trim level had to pony up an extra $300 for a three-channel ABS system, and another $250 if they wanted dual side airbags. Given the lack of standard safety equipment, you would think buyers would have been able to opt for rear disc brakes -- sadly, this wasn't the case.

About the Brakes

  • All trim levels came with disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear.
